Summary

📱 History repeats itself
In 2008, Apple launched the App Store and it forever changed the way we use our phones. Up to this point, the phone was just a “dialer” with a couple of built-in games. The App Store has turned the iPhone into a universal tool: a navigator, a bank, a cinema and an office in your pocket.
Today we stand on the threshold of the same revolution, but for Artificial Intelligence.
🤖 Agents are now “naked” phones
Modern AI agents (whether Claude, GPT-4 or OpenClaw) are incredibly smart, but functionally limited. They are like an iPhone without applications: they can speak beautifully, but they cannot order pizza, check the balance on a card, or deploy code to the server unless the developer has hardwired this function into them in advance.
🧩 MCPCat is an App Store for agents
We are building mcpcat.ru with one goal: to give agents the opportunity to “download” new skills themselves.
Imagine the scenario:
- You ask the agent: *"Book a meeting at 14:00"*.
- The agent realizes he doesn't know how to work with your company's calendar.
- Instead of the error "I can't do this", it goes to the **directory mcpcat.ru**.
- Finds the required MCP server (for example, Google Calendar or Outlook).
- Connects it on the fly and completes the task.
🚀 Endless possibilities
This changes the development paradigm. Instead of creating huge, unwieldy all-in-one bots, we're moving towards a modular system. The agent is the kernel (operating system) and the MCP servers are the applications.
And mcpcat.ru is the place where they meet.
